Chris Brown is back in the studio for a new album
Posted February 19, 2013
R&B star Chris Brown has begun recording his sixth studio album, which is expected to be released later this year. He will once again team with producers Timbaland (David Guetta, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas) and Danja (Mary J. Blige, Pink), both of whom worked on 2012's Fortune. That album made its debut atop Billboard's album chart and was Grammy-nominated for best urban contemporary album. Diplo (Usher, Britney Spears), a producer on 2011's chart-topping Grammy winner F.A.M.E., will also work on the at-yet-untitled new album.
On Friday, Brown posted a three-minute documentary video titled Home on his official website, which shows the singer/songwriter interacting with fans while on his world tour.
In the past eight years, Brown has sold more than 8 million albums. He's had two No. 1 songs and 11 top 10 singles on Billboard's Hot 100 and sold 31.5 million downloads.
