Plum Pan-Asian Kitchen is a great go-to dining destination for fresh sushi and inventive Asian cuisine. While some dishes work better than others, the place is spot on when it comes to flavor-packed appetizers and adventurous sushi rolls. On a recent trip, my friend and I split the Marilyn Mon Roll (fried soft shell crab, cucumber, tabiko caviar wrapped in avocado with spicy mayo & eel sauce on top). The fish was fresh and the cucumber and avocado added a crisp snap. We also had the Sampan Calamari appetizer, fried and tossed with jalapeno, garlic, red/green onion and ginger. The squid was fried to perfection and the jalapeno added a nice spice. In addition to the food, the bar serves up some tasty libations including specialty sake drinks and infused vodkas.

The place itself is clean and modern with ample seating at the dining room and more intimate seating at the bar. While reservations are highly recommended for Friday and Saturday nights, you can usually grab a table here no problem.
