Any place with a name that includes the words "beer" and "emporium" is a-okay in my book. With 50 beers on tap and another 100 or so bottles, the Sharp Edge Beer Emporium is a mecca for beer snobs, frat boys and locals alike. The draft list boasts an impressive selection of belgian brews, imports and a few nitrogenated options. The decor is 1980's basement chic, with funky shag carpeting and wood paneling on the walls. Food is standard bar grub with some standouts--the buffalo bites and burgers are big sellers. Also, every year the Sharp Edge hosts a spectacular European style beerfest and dinner where they provide each participant with an official "Sharp Edge Tasting Mug" upon entrance to the fest and allow three hours to sample all their offerings. Hoorah to that!
